Knowing Love helped me through one of the more difficult breakups I've had. It reflects on lessons learned through the growth that often follows pain.
More broadly it's about the connections we have with people throughout our lives, and how there is always something to be given and received.
lyrics
I felt you
From across the world
And all I knew was love
In my heart
I saw a girl
And all I knew was love
So pure and giving
A dream across the sea
So pure and giving
Enough to bring this man
To his knees
Our souls can dance
To play this game
But who we are
Won't stay the same
And it's hard for me to say
But I know it's true
That I'll be a better man
For knowing you
Yes, I'll be a better man
For knowing you
Our hands can touch
Held by fate
And all that's left is love
Through the fear
Through the pain
All that's left is love
So strong and giving
Holding space for truth to grow
We're here and living
Breathing in
Letting go
And our souls can dance
To play this game
But who we are
Won't stay the same
And it's hard for me to say
But I know it's true
That I'll be a better man
For knowing you
Yes, I'll be a better man
For knowing you
Knowing you
Knowing love
Knowing love
And our souls can dance
To play this game
But who we are
Won't stay the same
And it's hard for me to say
But I know it's true
That I'll be a better man
For knowing you
Yes, I'll be a better man
Oh, I'll be a better man
Oh, I'll be a better man
